turning 8.....

My baby turned 8....wow Jon's old!!!
Our night started at being at the dr's office. She had had a cough for like three weeks and over the weekend her throat had started hurting REALLY bad. So at that point I called the dr when I got home from work and they could fit us in right then. So I ran her up to the dr at 4:30. She had an ear infection and a really bad sinus infection.....poor girl, but I was glad to be able to get her on medicine. Sssssoooo we were eating between 5:30 and 6 and we got home around 5:45. Jon cooked (by Kay's request) a butt ham with mashed potatoes and yummy gravy (Jon's dad's secret recipe!!).
We opened gifts,
she got her pink Nintendo DS that she wanted.
And a few games to go with it.Lex gaver her this ginormous stuffed bear. Cheesecake......
My sweet girl who cannot wait to be baptized this Saturday.
She is such a tender hearted happy girl. What joy she brings to my life and in to our home.

friend birthday party

Friday the 13th we had Makaylee's birthday party with her friends. We had pizza, did her pinata, opened presents, played games then cake. She had fun. In the garage doing the pinata.
This was her only adamant request for her birthday party is that she had a pinata. Lex has had one once or twice but Kay's has never had one because she is in March and it's never nice enough to do it outside.....so we resorted to the garage!!!
Jon has lots of fun moving the pinata for the girls.

invite......

Well getting an invitation done and ready to mail out has really been stressing me out!
I was just glad to have the dress ordered and hemmed, the pictures taken and an actual time confirmed for Makaylee's baptism. So for those who feel obliged, please join us for her special day. PS by the way, SHE CANNOT WAIT!! She has been so cute and fun about her birthday. She is excited for friend birthday party on Friday. What an exciting time. I cannot believe my baby is 8. I know everyone says it and I know most (especially parents) say they cannot believe how time flies......literally and it seems it goes by faster the older we, they, everyone!!! gets but holy crap.....I could start crying realizing the different stages that have gone and the stages to come (wish me luck!!!).
I will try and get more pictures of her full dress once I get my new version of elements up and running......beggars can't be choosers!!!!

annual ski day.....

It is and has been tradition that my grandma takes us skiing. In the olden days we used to spend a week at Targhee (this is our third year of not doing that), there are several reasons as to why we are not going anymore but all in all my grandma LOVES getting all the family together for a ski day. I'm not going to lie to you, I miss Targhee A LOT, it just isn't the same but if she did not do this ski day I don't know that we would make it up to take the girls skiign. So Friday was the day. It was a beautiful day, a little chilly, but beautiful none the less. Makaylee was non stop and did not want to quit.

almost 8.....

What is different in this picture? Well, Kay's got her ears pierced. I don't why my mom had me wait until I was 8 to get my ears pierced, but I did the same thing to my girls! Lex had to wait until she was 8 and Kay's waited until she was almost 8. Jon and I surprised her by taking her to the mall Friday night to get them done. She thought we were going to do it in a few weeks but we decided to do it earlier. She was sssssoooooo excited and ssssooooo surprised.

the next chapter....

Well yesterday a chapter closed for me. I was released from Young Women's. I have been in Young Women's in this ward for 3 1/2 years (ever since the ward was created in July of 2005). Time has flown, I cannot believe it. Yesterday was one of the hardest days ever, a lot harder than I thought it was going to be. The tears started at 10 am in the Bishops office and did not end until 6 pm, after I met with the new presidency. I will forever treasure the friendships that I made and share with the Young Women as well as all of the leaders that I had the opportunity to develop close friendships with. I am so blessed to have been able to associate with these girls and women. I'm not entirely sure I'll know what to do on Tuesday nights, however, Jon is taking over that roll. He got called to be 2nd counselor in Young Men's. He currently teaches Sunday School with the new Young Men's president and really likes him, so he is super excited. I didn't get a break, they called me to teach the 11/12 year old primary class, so as my friend said, onward and upward!!!

My trusty blue binder that I'll miss carrying with me every Sunday and Tuesday.

A typical month in the day of the life of Young Women!
