kaua'i 2010

Believe it or not, I am going to update my blog...better late than never...right? I know Kim is sick of seeing the snowmobiling story...so some fun stuff!!!! I'm sure we did lots between February and May...but I'm going to skip to May when we had one of the best vacations ever....kaua'i, hawaii. We spent May 2 to May 9 (mother's day) in kauai with our (my) family. My dad took us over....it was amazing.

 I took over 1400 pictures (I know, hard to believe, right?), but for all our sakes I'll share a few!!!!

snowmobiling.....

February 6 we went snowmobiling with my dad and his group of friend.

Jon and Kay'es doubled up. Lex floated between a lot of us.

We had lunch at the ice caves.

 

Then we were off. Jon and Makaylee were riding together (Makaylee in front). We needed to make a side hillish turn to get back on the trail so Jon told kays to lean, when she leaned she almost fell off and grabbed the throddle and this is where they ended up:

Jon and Makaylee were behind me. I heard them hit the tree and turned around to see the snow falling on them. I turned off my sled and ran down to them. Makaylee was asking Jon if he was ok and Jon was not answering. He was just sitting there moaning and moaning...he had passed out. He FINALLY came to (it felt like forever, and the whole time I'm thinking how are we going to get life flight in here...it was AWFUL).

We made sure he wasn't bleeding. He was super pale and in a ton of pain.

The whole ski came off.....they had totalled the sled. Luckily it still ran, ssssoooo

my brother and a few of the guys took turns riding it out on the left ski.

Sunday we ended taking Jon up to insta care because he was in so much pain, we figured he had broken his tail bone and/but he needed some pain medication to help ease the pain. Sure enough he had broke his tailbone, 6 to 8 weeks to heal........it's been a long two weeks!!!!

tubing.....

January 23....a Saturday, we thought we'd take the girls out tubing to Max's hill in Hyrum. The weather was nice and we had a fun time. Lex and Kay's both brought a friend along.

Yes, even I particiapted!!!

Then Jon thought he'd try a master move head first on the tube of death......

Yes, the snow won. He went off the jump, stayed straight up in the air (I thought he broke his neck) with his feet in the air then got up and this nice snow rash is what he had (for weeks to come!!!)

Then it was off to grandma and grandpa's for scones and the hot tub!!!

(all of us gals look forward to this event every year, in fact Monday, the holiday when we all have to pack up and face reality, we talk about how excited we are to do it next year!)

She really stays focused and gets a ton done up there!!!!
